In the last few years we have seen exponential growth in the smart phone sector.  Companies like Apple, LG, Samsung, Motorola HTC, Palm, Nokia and Blackberry are creating a competitive landscape and it is is still uncertain which device manufacturers will come out on top.  It is clear that Apple's iPhone, though not the first smart phone to market, has defined the standard for the smartphone.
